Ernie, Pat and staff for CASH BASh Just want to say a huge DITTO to what Debbie Giavasis wrote below. The schedule was so great with all the OPEN DANCING Ya hoo!!!!! It is so great having the comps in the afternoon and the awards on Sunday. Really, really appreciate all the consideration to allow for open dancing for the many people who do not compete. The full breakfast was very very much appreciated by all. I heard many people commenting about that. The hotel staff is extraordinary -helpful, courteous. Just as Debbie said with the example of the manager. The food was outstanding as always. Great variety with tempo and style for westcoast and other dances ie: rumba, cha cha, two step, hustle, waltz. The Pros were friendly and danced a lot at open dancing which is always so much fun. Many workshops included in the ticket and great instructors. I can't think of one thing that was not good. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the work I know you did. Mary Kinley

I just wanted to say what a friendly event! I am a beginner and enjoyed taking the beginning West Coast Swing lessons offered every day. It was great to see beginner lessons offered for so many dances each day. Although I have done some hustle dancing in the past, this was a great way to get started in West Coast Swing and Nightclub Two Step and refresh my hustle dancing. The people are so nice and welcoming. I will definately be back!

I just want to thank EVERYONE for being so patient, friendly and helpful to me. As a "newbie", sometimes I get nervous and thought I would feel out of place, both at the dances and the CASH BASH, but yoiu all are so supportive and friendly that it makes learning comfortable. I am glad to be associated with you people and hope to be for years to come---THANKS AGAIN

I would just like to thank Tim for all of the hard work and many hours of work he put into developing the new look of the CASH Club website. He has done a killer job, and I think that all members should take the time to thank him next time they see him. I believe that the new look promote the image of the club to all of those who may stumble across the site from where ever they may be. It looks top notch, which in turn makes us look like a top notch club. Missing all of you, Shaggy

I just want to say thanks to all those who came to the cookout. It was by far one of the most enjoyable dances that I have been to in a long time, period. It was great seeing all those dancers that I hadn't seen in awhile, and very encouraging for the dance community to see faces of many dancers who were new, at least new to the Cleveland Akron Swing and Hustle club's dances. We appreciate your support and hope that you will tell your friends and come to future dances to help make them just as much, if not even more enjoyable.

Ernie Another great event. It only gets better and better. Congratulations and a big "thank you" to you, your committee, and CASH members for putting on this event. The pro-show on Saturday was outstanding, maybe the best to date. The music was outstanding; never wanted to sit down. Thanks for having such great DJs. Please have them back next year. I do have comments/suggestions for consideration for next year. - Split the Nov/Int Strictly swing into 2 contests. It was mentioned that the event was merged to condense the schedule to have more open dancing. That's great but....I think you have to ask, "Is it fair to the novice dancers to compete against intermediate dancers?" The J&Js are separate categories, why not the Strictly. I may be wrong, but I think there were no novice couples in the final. This was a very competitive event - a lot of excellent dancers took part. - Have 2 award presentations. In stead of waiting till Sunday, the results of any Saturday afternoon finals can be announced Saturday evening. I'm suggesting that it be held just after dinner, maybe as folks are having their desert. This would assure maximum audience participation. The results of Saturday evening finals would be announced on Sunday afternoon. By the time the awards ceremony is held on Sunday, many dancers have already left the hotel, without knowing Saturday's results. (Note: I was fortunate to place in two J&J events. But due to a family commitment, I had to leave the hotel on Sunday before the awards were handed out. I wish I could have been there to receive my plaques in front of the other dancers. But that's life.....) The plaques - the COOLEST!!!! Wonderful design. Who ever picked them out did a fantastic job. Can't wait to show them off to others. Again, congratulations for a wonderful event. See you at the 7th BASH in 2006. Tom Pogros Sterling Hts, MI

Ernie and Pat, Once again, you both did an OUTSTANDING JOB for the CASH BASH! This year was the best ever, in my opinion. All the events were on schedule, and my favorite thing was all THE OPEN DANCING! Yes, the Jack-n-Jills were scheduled at terrific times, allowing everyone plenty of open dancing. I also liked the way you particularly handled the advanced west coast swing jack-n-jill, with only one "slow" song per couple, with a couples "open skates". It is a lot more difficult to dance to a slower rhythm, and that made the competition move along quickly. I liked that. The hotel manager was especially helpful with our table as Helen left her purse in the ballroom on Saturday before dinner, and the manager was kind enough to locate it himself, and return it to her during dinner. He is always very good to all of us, along with the entire hotel staff. The dinner was wonderful, as usual. Thank you again for all of your hard work! I think we had another successful event. If you ask me, you can't beat it for the price - breakfast both mornings, appetizers, dinner, and open dancing. Where else can you get all that for the price of a weekend pass???? NO WHERE I tell you. If anyone complains, tell them they should attend a ballroom competition and they won't say another word. Oh - and only $5.00 for extra classes, and that is if you need to purchase one after receiving FIVE workshops. Great idea! thank you, thank you, thank you....... Great job! Debbie and George Giavasis

Hi All, It has been a while since I was last in my home state. You all have been so generous in recieving me when I make it back to visit family and of course ALWAYS show up at your events. Of course ther is lots of great West Coast Swing dancing out here. You can pretty much dance everynight of the week with some very good dancers. With that said I will alsoi say that I have not had anymore fun dancing anywhere as I have had in my old home town. The people there are great. Who knows if I had found such a warm socially liberal group, I probably would have not left there 30 years ago. I browse throught the great photos and notice a few familiar faces and the same great spirit. I look forward to seeing yawl again in the next couple of months. Thanks again! Freddie (P.S.) We would just like to take a moment to thank you for putting on an awesome event. Ernie, thank's to you and the cash bash staff for the opportunity to mc the 2004 cash bash event. It was a great time. I want to especially thank all that attended even though they had no idea who Joe Mascia was (hard as it is to believe)or where Buffalo is located on the map. But one of the best decisions, was regarding the pro's you invited. The fact that they all made themselves available to the dancers and they actually partied with them, made a great impression on the participants. Again, thank's to you all and we can't wait till next year. Oh yeah, you can give my e-mail to any of the guy's who need my advice on how to dress for success. Joe

Hi and thanks to ALL the CASH BASH event people, club member and all that attended the event this year. You guys did it again... This event just gets better and better. I would like to say a special thanks to everyone for being so supportive of the IUPUI Swing Cats, who performed on Saturday night. Thank you for making them feel so welcome. I must admit that they were (I was too) really nervous about performing to a room full of WCS dancers. But all was good and they loved the time they had performing, taking lessons and 6 of them event entered the Jack and Jill! - Go Team! The weekend experience for all 14 of the Swing Cats was awesome. The team is totally fired up about the next event. I hope that everyone will be able to join us at the Indy Swing Classic next year. (Check out www.indyswing.org for info) Thanks again, Katy Fineman.

Another great year! Well run, entertaining, fun and friendly are just a few of its characteristics. The countless hours of planning and preparation have once again resulted in a well-coordinated success. A well-chosen event staff, professional event presentation, a wonderful hotel staff along with very nice hotel facilities are just a few more of the strong points of this year's CASH Bash. Being one of the event DJ's and providing the Dance Fanatics Pro Audio System was both an honor and a pleasure. Many thanks to Ernie, the CASH Club, the event staff, and everyone who attended. Nicely done!
